JDK1.2를 지원하는 브라우저가 없는 걸로 알거든요?

그렇다면 해법은 애플릿 서명 뿐이겠네요?

First of all no signing is required if u r connecting back to the same server from which applet is being loaded. If u get security exception make sure it is occuring at "Socket" call to the server. If that is the case then make sure u are not using any proxy servers. if u use proxy then this is going to happen.
