Hello,

It's good to hear from the young people like you. I believe that you are on a right track to become a computer programmer. Here is my advice.

First, read computer books and periodicals. And if you like to learn English as well, you might want to buy computer books written in English. You can kill two birds with one stone this way.

Second, it take more than just learning computer programming to become a good programmer. Try to read books on system analysis and design. If you can get into Object Oriented methodology, what can we ask for more?

Third, you don't really have to know the C/C++ languages if don't want. Probably more than 90 percent of professional programmer don't know low to middle languages like ASM, C, or C++. These languages are used to develop the commercial applications or to address the system level requirements.

Fourth, stride to learn new computer technologies like Java and related technologies, UML (Unified Modeling Language), Network programming(including Internet), and if you can, write some programs using these tools.

The MS VisualBasic is a good starter language. But don't be attached to it. Like dying PowerBuilder, it has its own limitations and I don't really see the bright future in it.

Always try to do things that nobody does. That is, try to be unique in many aspects of your life.

Good luck in your future and may God bless you!!!
